New research released on the effect of the global recession on women’s philanthropy
Women are still giving despite the global recession and plan to give even more to human services, religion, women and girls and education. Martha and Sondra were honored by receiving the first Shaw-Hardy Taylor Achievement Award “for extraordinary contributions to moving women’s philanthropy forward,” presented to Sondra and Martha by the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.
The award was presented at the Center’s 20th Annual Symposium and is the first of the periodic Shaw-Hardy Taylor awards to be given.
